Bi-cameral Congress The House of Rep Qualifications of Members 1. No younger than 25 2. A US citizen for 7 years 3. Live in the state you represent Terms of service = 2 years Total number of US Reps = 435 -The number for each state is decided by population The Senate Qualifications of Members 1. No younger than 30 2. A US citizen for 9 years 3, Live in the state you represent Terms of service = 6 years Total number of US Senators = 100 - Each state has 2 Senators

Bi-cameral Congress The House of Rep Elect a Speaker of the House as leader from the majority party Has the sole power of impeachment “ Treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors ” Who are the only 2 presidents to be impeached? 1) Bill Clinton (1998) 2) Andrew Johnson (1868) The Senate The Vice President is the President of the Senate and votes only to break a tie - The Senate Pro Tempore is elected by the majority party and sits for the VP The Senate acts as the jury in an impeachment trial (2/3 vote needed)
