Writers use sequence to provide information or tell a story that is clear to the reader, guides the reader toward an important element, or controlled emotional response. Events  An event is an action taken by a character to move the story forward in a piece of literary work.  Attention grabbers for literary works sometimes play with sequence for emotional connection.  An event is an action that is taken by a person, animal, thing  Most common sequence is called Chronological Order – An order from beginning to end. Mostly used in literary and informational writing  In literary writings, we call the sequence of events the PLOT.  TRIGGER WORDS: First, next, then, after, finally, etc.
