Trapezius – elevates scapula, depresses scapula Latissimus dorsi – adducts, extends and medially rotates the humerus

Deltoid: arm abduction, flexion and extension Pectoralis major: adduction of arm, medial rotation of humerus Coracobrachialis: adduction of arm Pec toralis minor: stabilize scapula, draw scapula inferiorly

Supraspinatus: synergist of deltoid Infraspinatus : laterally rotates humerus Levator scapulae – elevages scapula and tilts glenoid cavity inferiorly Rhomboids – retracts scapula and rotates it to depress glenoid cavity

Teres major: adducts and medially rotates arm Teres minor: laterally rotates arm Subscapularis – medial rotation and adduction of arm

Serratus anterior: draws scapula forward and upward, abducts scapula Triceps brachii: elbow extensor

Biceps brachii: elbow flexion, supination Brachialis: elbow flexion Brachioradialis: elbow flexion

Pronator teres: pronates and flexes forearm Aconeus: synergist of triceps, abducts ulna during pronation

Iliopsoas – hip flexion

Extensor pollicis longus and brevis: extends distal phalanx of thumb Extensor digiti minimi: extends digit 5

Extensor carpi radialis longus: extends wrist and abducts hand Extensor carpi ulnaris: extends wrist and adducts hand Extensor digitorum: extends wrist and fingers

Flexor carpii ulnaris: flexes and adducts hand at wrist Flexor carpi radialis: flexes and abducts hand Flexor digitorum superficialis: flexes middle phalanges of digits 2 – 5 Flexor digitorum profundus: flexes distal phalanges of digits 2 - 5 Flexor pollicis longus: flexes thumb

Glut. Max.: Hip extension, thigh abduction, lat. rot. of thigh Gl. Med.: Thigh abduction, Med. And lat rotation of thigh Gl. Min.: abduction of hip, medial rot of hip

Biceps femoris: knee flexion, Hip extension, rotate tibia laterally Semimembranosis: knee flexion, hip extension, rotate tibia medially when knee is flexed Semitendinosis: same as semimembranosis

Gastrocnemius: plantarflexion of foot, knee flexion Soleus: sameTibialis posterior: foot inversion, adduction

Pectineus: adduction Adductor longus: thigh adductor and lateral rotation of thigh Adductor brevis: same as longus Gracilis: knee flexion, adduct thigh, medial rotation of thigh Adductor magnus: thigh adduction

Tensor fascia lata: stabilize knee and hip joints Rectus femoris: knee extension, thigh flexion Vastus group: extends knee

Tibialis anterior: Dorsiflex foot, inversion Peroneus longus: everts foot, plantarflex foot Extensor dig. longus: extends 2-5 Ext. hallucis longus: Extends toe and dorsiflexes foot

Flexor digitorum longus: flexes toes Flexor hallucis longus: flexes great toe
