1 Clouds 3.03 Describe and analyze the formation of various types of clouds and discuss their relation to weather systems.

2 Stratus Clouds Low lying clouds that blanket the sky.
Drizzle, overcast days accompany these types of clouds.

3 Cumulus Clouds Low lying, puffy, fluffy clouds.
These clouds are a sign of good weather. These clouds can bring rain that is usually heavy with large drops.

4 Cirrus Clouds Cirrus Clouds are high, wispy, featherlike clouds.
These clouds are made of ice crystals. These are present when the weather is good. They signify a change of weather is coming.

5 Cumulonimbus Clouds Cumulonimbus clouds are also called “ thunderheads”. These clouds develop vertically. These clouds are the only clouds that can produce hail.
