What is a Cloud? A cloud is made from tiny water droplets and/or ice crystals. Snowflakes are made from a collection of many ice crystals. Rain is just water in liquid form.

Cirrus Clouds Clouds that are high in the sky. They are very thin and wispy. They are seen during fair weather.

Cumulus Clouds These clouds are big and fluffy. They are seen during fair weather. They usually are sprinkled across the sky. When they are large and cover the sky they sometimes mean a storm is coming.

Stratus Clouds These clouds are low in the sky. They tend to spread out across the sky in a horizontal line like a blanket. The clouds are usually gray. The clouds can stretch over the whole sky. These clouds bring light rain or snow.
