2 Subband Allocation (1/3) As the result of Eqn. (175) and (177) in AWD, every 4 PRUs are grouped, and each group is a possible subband location. –There are maximum N sub subbands. –The locations are indexed from 0 to N sub –1. N PRU =48, N sub = 12.

3 Subband Allocation (2/3) There are K SB subbands. The allocation of subbands – –Eqn. (175)

5 Frequency Partition FPCT: number of frequency partitions FPSC: number of subbands for FP 1, FP 2, …
6
6 Non-fixed Subband Allocation and the Frequency Partition (1/2) In some cases, the subband allocation is totally different – The subbands allocated to frequency partitions are totally different since the subbands are different.
7
7 Non-fixed Subband Allocation and the Frequency Partition (2/2) Suppose the frequency partition is used for E- MBS, fractional frequency reuse (FFR) purposes, or femtocell purposes, the terminals using the resource in that frequency partition is required to feedback new channel quality indicator (CQI) and the base station has to adjust the link quality of the terminals.

8 Fixed Subband Allocation (1/2) We propose a modification to subband allocation by designing –a basic sequence B = {b(0), b(1), …, b(N sub – 1)}, –b(i) {0, 1,, N sub – 1} and b(i) b(j) for all i j. The subbands are allocated at –S K SB = { b(0), b(1), …, b(K SB – 1) }. The minibands are allocated at –M K MB = { b(K SB ), b(K SB +1), …, b(N sub – 1) }.
9
9 Fixed Subband Allocation (2/2) B = {0, 6, 3, 9, 1, 4, 7, 10, 2, 5, 8, 11} for N sub = 12.
10
10 Frequency Partition Incorporating with the new aligned subband allocation, the front subbands are allocated to FP 1, FP 2, …, first. The rest subbands are allocated to FP 0.
