What Fact: McDonalds buys 2 million eggs a year. Fact: $9 billion worth of eggs are sold. Fact: In California each bird has to have 116 square inches of space. Opinion: Klippen said egg producers will fight efforts to spread cage-free rules.

When - Where This took place October 22, 2015 through an announcement McDonald’s made through their headquarters. It could take up to 10 years for this to be fully implemented. It’s important because it’s a more humane process. I predict farmers will finally agree to cage-free eggs and more business’s will ask for cage-free eggs.

How - Predict McDonald’s will require their suppliers to use cage-free hens or they will not buy their eggs. They will change the egg produce industry because they buy so many eggs. It’s important because it’s a more humane process. I predict farmers will finally agree to cage-free eggs and more business’s will ask for cage-free eggs.

Ask - Answer Ask: Will all restaurants be cage-free any time soon ? Answer: No because farmers don’t agree because it’s a hassle to get the eggs.
