2. End of Program Year June 30, 2015 is end of 2014-2015 Program Year Club Books due to County 4-H Office on August 1, 2015 – Not turning in a book can lead to losing your club’s 4-H Charter Reminder letters and checklists are in the mail to Community Club Leaders

3. 2015-2016 Program Fees Increase in State 4-H fees starting July 1 st – $38.00 per youth (previously $34.00) – $14.00 per volunteer (previously $12.00) County assessment fee will increase to $22 per youth (previously $20) Partial or full fee waivers are available to families who cannot afford to pay

4. Fall Trainings! Community Club Leader Training – August 15 th, 10:00-12:00 at 4-H Office – Mandatory that all clubs send at least one CCL Volunteer Enrollment Coordinator Training – August 15 th, 1:00-3:00 at 4-H Office – Mandatory for all VECs, recommended for CCLs Officer Training – August 22 nd, 10:00-3:00 at 4-H Office – Clubs may make mandatory for office teams

5. More Fall Trainings! New Leader Trainings – September 5 th, October 24 th, and December 12 th. 3:00-5:00 at the 4-H Office – New leaders must attend one of these. Veteran leaders may also attend if they want a refresher. – Additional dates can be added if there is demand. Volunteer Recognition and Development Day – October 10 th, 10:00-2:00 at the 4-H Office – All leaders are welcome!

Summary of Policy Changes All enrolled members that complete at least one project get pin and stripe A project is not considered complete unless an Annual Project Form (APR) is turned in to project leader – Clover members are exempt from this; they get a pin/stripe regardless – Livestock leaders can require a partial APR be turned in before AgFest Junior/Teen Leaders do not necessarily have to be enrolled in a project other than Leadership Development – Ex: Teen shows swine with FFA, but leads 4-H swine project. They would enroll in leadership but not swine.

Summary of Policy Changes Club attendance cannot be required in order to participate in other activities (ex: camp, fair, county competitions) – Clubs CAN require attendance in order to receive incentives (ex: 80% club attendance is required to receive money to attend camp) Counties can set requirements (within reason) to show at fairs/shows. Fairs/shows can also set their own additional requirements. – Enrollment deadlines (ex: December 31 st ) are acceptable, but it is better if they are set by the fair/show. – Partial APRs can be required to prove that the member has been completing the project.
