2. My Love For Lacrosse By: Jose Ortega Per: 3 11-16-11

3. I wouldn’t consider myself a sports person. And I had never heard of a sport called lacrosse, and I am pretty sure that many of you reading this haven’t either. Those of you that are familiar with the sport would say it sucks and some of you would say it is awesome. I am now personally in love with the sport because of my friend Jesse. Thanks to him, I have a love for the sport of lacrosse. I think that lacrosse frees all of your anger and releases all your passion for the sport.

4. I remember one time when I was 10 I used to go to my friend Jesse’s house to play video games. On one of these occasions I went to his house, and I asked, “Can we play Halo 3?”

5. “How about we do something else instead of video games?” he said “ Sure, what are we going to do?” “ Let’s play some lacrosse,” he said. “ Some what?” “ Lacrosse.” “ Ok, what is it?” “ It is a sport.” “ What kind of sport?” “ A sport that you use a stick in.” “ Ok, let’s play some lacrosse then.”

6. He gave me a stick and we went outside. I could smell the steaks that the neighbors were cooking. My friend and I were very hungry, and the neighbors were our friends, so they gave us two steaks. When I took my first bite I could taste the delicious seasoning that the neighbor put into it. The steak would sizzle every time I would put it into my hungry mouth. “ This is a very delicious steak Mr. and Mrs. Perez,” I said, stuffing a piece of steak in my mouth. “Thank you, I am glad you liked it,” said Mr. Perez.

7. After Jesse and I finished our delicious steaks, I told him, “Let’s go play some lacrosse.” “ Sure,” he said

8. When we got to the park I remembered the grass was glistening as a diamond in the light. We started to throw the ball with the sticks. I was really bad and Jesse started to laugh every time I would try to throw the ball. It would always fall out the back of the net. He was really happy to see me try to throw the ball. After I got mad he taught me how to pass and shoot and then how to pass.

9. We started a game, and this game was intense and very intense we started to play and we started to score. I made one goal after another. Thirty minutes after the game started it was over. My team won. After that day I have loved lacrosse.
