2 Tryout Information When: March 14 to March 24 th Time: 5:00pm to 6:30pm Location: SHS Auxiliary Gymnasium

3 Tryout Results Cheerleading candidates will be notified via sealed envelope of team placements on Friday March 25, 2016 at 5pm. Envelopes will be available for pickup at SHS. Rosters will also be posted to www.sprayberrycheer.com after the 2016 Made-It Meeting. www.sprayberrycheer.com

4 Tryout Procedure The tryout for Sprayberry is not like other programs. It is a constant evaluation over a two week period where all of a candidates abilities as a cheerleader are measured. The coaching staff will meet each evening to discuss what they have seen each day and what they are impressed or unimpressed with.

5 Tryout Procedure cont… Candidates will be evaluated on their abilities in the areas of motion sequences, short dances, jumps, tumbling, stunting, leadership, teamwork, floor presence, and coachability. Tryouts will be closed to all non- cheerleading candidates

6 Eligibility All squads will be filled based on athlete’s skills. We do not fill teams on a “cheer for peers model.” Varsity Competition: 9 th – 12 th Varsity Football:9 th – 12 th JV Football:9 th – 11 th Freshman Football:9 th

7 Eligibility All candidates must be academically eligible per the Cobb County School District policies. All candidates must have submitted ALL required paperwork prior to tryouts the start of tryouts.

8 Cheerleader Expectations All cheerleaders are required to abide by a set of high standards both on and off the field. Please review the Sprayberry High School Cheerleading Constitution that is located on www.sprayberrycheer.com. www.sprayberrycheer.com

9 Initial Calendar of Events Made-It Meeting: 3/28 – 6pm Fundraising Meeting: 3/28 – 6pm Uniform Fitting: 5/2 ----5pm The full calendar is being finalized and will be posted on www.sprayberrycheer.com by the 3/28 Made-It Meeting. www.sprayberrycheer.com

13 Program Warm-Up

14 Estimated Costs Booster Club Membership: $300 Uniform Package: $575 The uniform package will include uniform (2 shells, 1 skirt), practice shirts, bows, and warm-up. The purchase of proper cheer shoes and bikers is the responsibility of the cheerleader and will not be ordered as a program. Additional items will be available for individual purchase via an online spirit store.
