3.  Made up of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland & Finland.  Most are all Lutheran. Most speak the same language. Finland is the only country that does not speak the same language.

Region is mainly tundra and is populated by the Lapps or Sami.  The Sami originated in central Asia.  Most people live in the southern parts of their countries.  Norwegians live along fjords.  Most are well educated. 7.  Denmark is one of the EU’s most prosperous countries.  Finland is a manufacturing country. (cellphones, computer software).  Sweden produces hightech & high value products.  Fishing is important in Iceland & Norway.  Oil & gas in the North Sea makes Norway rich. Economy

8.  Sweden in the last half of the 20 th century was a mix of capitalism & socialism.  Socialism is when the government owns and controls the means of producing goods.  Most of Sweden’s countries remained privately owned.  Government has its own National Health Care system Economy
