Made up of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland & Finland. Most are all Lutheran. Most speak the same language. Finland is the only country that does not speak the same language.

Lapland stretches across northern Norway, Sweden & Finland. Region is mainly tundra and is populated by the Lapps or Sami. The Sami originated in central Asia. Most people live in the southern parts of their countries. Norwegians live along fjords. Most are well educated. Live long life-spans and have low birth rates. Populations are very heavily urban. Greenland covered by 85% ice. The island is uninhabitable. Most Greenlanders live along its southwestern coastline. Part of Denmark. Iceland most live along the coastal plains. Most of the country is uninhabitable. Interior is ice covered lava rock. Greenland & Iceland

Tremendous geothermal energy. Many geysers on the island. Geyser is a hot spring that shoots hot water in the air. Has hydropower potential as well. Iceland

Denmark is one of the EU’s most prosperous countries. Finland is a manufacturing country. (cellphones, computer software). Sweden produces hightech & high value products. Fishing is important in Iceland & Norway. Oil & gas in the North Sea makes Norway rich. Economy

Sweden in the last half of the 20 th century was a mix of capitalism & socialism. Socialism is when the government owns and controls the means of producing goods. Most of Sweden’s countries remained privately owned. Government has its own National Health Care system Economy
