18.1 Changes During Adolescence Adolescence is marked by the onset of puberty, and the second fastest period of growth.

Physical changes include primary and secondary sex characteristics. Primary is characterized by the production of the reproductive cells.

Mental and Emotional changes include the increase in memory and cognition. Although the brain is 95% formed by the age of 6 it’s ability to think and reason continue to advance.

Teen Marriage IndianaIndiana: A certified copy of your birth certificate is required. If you are 17 years old you must apply for the license with both parents (or the person with legal custody). They will need to sign the consent portion of the application. If you are 16 or 15 years old, you must petition the Circuit Court via a "Permission to Marry" form.
