Bar Graphs Bar Graph – a graph that uses bars to show data in categories Example: Favorite color of the class What month that students were born Favorite subject of students

Double Bar Graph A graph that uses pairs of bars to compare data Example: When people go to the theater

Histogram A bar graph that shows the frequency of data within equal intervals Histograms do not have gaps between the bars, unless the frequency for an interval is 0 The frequencies must be in equal intervals

How to make a Histogram Determine the equal intervals that will be used Divide the data into each interval using a frequency table Use the information to draw a histogram Example: Day that you were born IntervalsTallyFrequency
