3. WHAT IS EXPECTED OF AN IB LIBRARIAN AND THE IB LIBRARY?

After discussion with other library personnel from every FIS campuses, we all agreed that IB librarian are expected to:

6. WHICH ACTIVITY, MODULE, PART YOU THINK YOU LEARNT THE MOST AND WHY?

7. Library Manager: Destiny 11.5 ILS Before attending CPD, I know that Destiny Library Manager are: Used to catalog collections into school’s database. Tool that ease librarian’s works. After attending CPD, I discover that Destiny Manager are: Powerful tool that actually can ease not only librarian but users friendly too. Able to generate various report (such as fines, lost materials till finding the ‘star’ readers. Handy and accessible anywhere through it’s mobile application.

8. Information Literacy Program From this module, I learned that: Information Literacy Program supporting ATL’s Skills. Librarian also serve as educators, particularly in support of FIS Academic Honesty Policy, developing and supporting inquiries. This program is totally different from library session handled in FISP because our library session specifically tailored for students who did not take Bahasa Malaysia subject. This program need to be implement to educate students regarding information literacy awareness.

12. On the 2 nd day, all library personnel went to MPH Bookfair at Putrajaya International Convention Centre to source books to update library’s collections. From this tasks, I learned that: It is a librarian’s role to support inquiry by providing current, relevance and appropriate collections to our users. Selecting appropriate resources requires planning, analysis and decision making skills.

16. Planning and Proposing Meanwhile, I will adapt the strategies and practices shared among us to overcome discipline matters. Send a complete proposal to FISP’s Coordinators, Head and Principle. Planning and designing the program. Brainstorming with my partner, Ms. Haniza. I will start with gathering further information especially regarding Information Literacy Program to support ATL.
