12. INTRO/CONCLUSION Introduction: Where people live often times affects how they live. The Iroquois, who were native to central New York, used their natural surroundings to provide food and shelter for their people. The environment provided all of the resources that the people needed to sustain the Iroquois Confederacy of 5 Nations. Conclusion: As has been shown above, the Iroquois used their natural surroundings to provide food and shelter for the people. Although at times this was challenging, especially during the cold winters, this group of Native Americans was able to create a unique culture that would help serve as an important influence in the founding of the United States.
