3 Sinister -Evil The Sinister Man took My sister.

4 Futile Useless I felt futile against the dog.

5 Dignity Self respect. I’m not going to do that, I have some dignity.

6 Fruitless helpless I was fruitless against the fire.

7 Internment The state of being confined. They put me in an internment camp for Japanese

8 Hostility Unfriendliness. The terrorist had a lot of hostility.

9 Subordinate Of less importance. The plate was subordinate to the pot.

10 Aggravated some feature defined by law that enhances the crime. The man was charged with aggravated assault.

11 Intangible Not definite or clear to the mind. The football game was intangible.

12 Promenade An area used for walking. The promenade had a lot of people walking on it.

13 Pacify To calm or restore peace. The police tried to pacify the angry man.

14 Oblivion Completely forgotten or unknown. He was completely oblivious when the water balloon came.

15 Sustenance Means of supporting life. The mother hen had sustenance and could help her chicks.

16 subdued Calm or settled. The police subdued the man.

17 Lethargy The state of being drowsy or dull. The team was lethargy after the game.

18 Assented To agree or concur The Mayor assented with the child.

19 Capitulate To give up resistance. The bank robber capitulated and went to jail.

20 Assertive Confidently aggressive or self-assured The dog was assertive when it came to the cat.

21 Authentic Legitimate or real The boys story seemed to be true and legit.
