Macedonia Attacks Greece Macedonia was a powerful kingdom north of Greece. Philip II united Greece with Macedonia to defeat the Persians. After training a vast army, Philip began taking over Greek City- States. The Macedonians defeated the Greeks at the Battle of Chaeronea. Philip controlled Greece.
