An Overview Ambassadors is a student leadership program at Davis Drive Middle School sponsored by the Student Services Department. Ambassadors serve as role models within our school by showing leadership, good judgement, maturity, honesty, and integrity while upholding their responsibilities as a student.

Program Considerations Number of students per grade level Target specific groups of students that may not be represented in other clubs Ambassadors as an extension of your department Other organizations in your building you can potentially partner with that already have a group of students (SGA, NJHS, Bully Busters) Organize Ambassadors into committees Celebrating Ambassadors for their leadership School integration

Application Process Students apply in September Application includes: – Student Questionnaire – Two teacher recommendations – Parent consent form – Video release form

Expectations Academic: C or better in all classes on report cards Behavior: No major referrals Attendance: Regular school attendance, no excessive absences or tardies to class Positive and respectful attitude at all times toward students, staff and administrators

Ambassador Responsibilities Ongoing: – New student buddies and school tour guides – Peer tutoring/Tier 2 interventions – Monthly meetings Special Events: – Student Leadership Retreats – Community service projects – Promotion of bullying prevention – Small Group Assistants (New student, Friendship) – PBIS videos – Event Assistants – Teacher Helpers during SMART block

Ambassador Committees Students signed up for committees using a Google Form and were assigned based on numbers, grade level, events Committees – Stand Up (Bullying Prevention & PBIS) – School Events – New Student Group – Peer Helpers – Teacher Helpers and Staff Appreciation – Community Service – College and Career – Leadership Retreat – Pep Club
