5. Data You will be: Typing messages. Making decisions on messages. You will need to be someone who : Is good at keyboarding. Can read other student’s handwriting. Ok with having more than one thing happening at once.

6. Isolation Team ISO From spacecraft Test for micro-meteoroid impacts. Test for radioactivity. Monitor hazardous materials. Operate robotic arm. Send and receive messages. Find out if chemical flasks are leaking. From Mars Control: Collect, record, and analyze data. Research radiation. Research meteoroid impacts. Research chemicals. Communicate emergency procedures if needed. Send and receive messages.

7. Isolation Team ISO You will: Move a robotic arm. Research information by reading. Write messages. Read and follow directions. You will need to be someone who: Can read and follow directions. Can read an article and find information.

8. Life Support LS From Spacecraft: ` Monitor environmental conditions. Conduct a food crop survey. Test PH and TDS of water treatment. Take readings from various life support systems. Send and receive messages. From Mars Control: Collect, record, and analyze data. Monitor life support systems. Send and receive messages. Communicate emergency procedures if needed.

9. Life Support LS You will: Read instruments. Be responsible for cabin safety. Send and receive messages. You will need to be someone who: Can read temperature and other gages. Can read and follow directions. Can focus and complete a task.

10. Navigation NAV From Spacecraft: Establish Mars orbit. Determine where to land. Land and launch spacecraft. Use point to point head set. From Mars Control: Collect, record and analyze data. Send images to spacecraft. Give instructions from headset.

11. Navigation NAV You will: Use computers to triangulate position spacecraft. Get spacecraft into correct orbits. Use a head-set to get important information to guide the spacecraft safely. You will need to be someone who: Can focus on a task when a lot is happening around you. Communicate through a headset. Follow directions to make calculations.

12. Probe From Spacecraft: Puts together a probe motherboard. Sends out the probe. Uses headset to relay probe information. From Mars Control: Helps put the probe together. Collect, analyze, and record information from the probe. Communicate emergency procedures if needed. Use headset to communicate probe information.

13. Probe You will: Be responsible for the construction of the probe. Send out the probe. You will need to be someone who: Can work in a small room with others. Read and follow directions. Likes to focus and get a job done.

14. Remote REM From the Spacecraft: Do soil tests. Classify rocks. Measure volume and weight. Send and receive messages. From Mars Control: Collect, record and analyze data. Choose soils for projects. Send and receive messages.

15. Remote REM You will: Track storms. Use a map. Follow directions to gather information on rocks, soil, and other Matter from Mars. You will need to be someone who: Can read and follow directions. Work with others.

16. Medical MED From Spacecraft: Test auditory and visual reaction time. Measure respiration rate. Measure skin temperature. Measure blood pressure and heart rate. Send and receive messages. From Mars Control: Collect, record and analyze data. Monitor crew health. Send and receive messages and image s.

17. Medical MED You will: Use computer and medical equipment. Send information to Mission Control. You will need to be someone who: Can focus when there is a lot of activity near you. Can use a keyboard. Can read medical instruments.
