2 Objective To design and fabricate a firefighting system, which use infrared sensors and arduino microcontroller to detected and extinguishfires.

3 Methodology To use infrared sensors to detect a fire source and distance away from the system Use arduino microcontroller to controller sensors and actuators Use H-Bridge to amplify voltage from arduino to linear actuator and slew drive Use C programming algorithms to calculate the angle of water nozzle based on water pressure and distance

6 Deliverables October 25 –prepare and present proposal and presentation of design. October 30 – research and finalize all equations needed for to control nozzle angle based on water pressure and distance. November 7 – Have complete parts list and start ordering parts needed for design. November 21 – design persudo code and flow chart of system. December 5 – Start fabrication of system structure and order any other parts needed for project. January 7 – Start programming arduino. February 10 – complete programing and start testing. April 16 – Finish project and start final presentation preparations.
