Birth and Death Born April 25, 1214 Father was King Louis the VIII and his mother was Blanche of Castile Became king at 11 in 1226 and ruled until his death in 1270. Married Marguerite of Provence with whom he had 11 children with. Died in 1270 of the Plague on his second trip to the Holy Land.
