To get us thinking about the big picture, we are going to begin by watching a short video called “Mainstream, U.S.A.” As we watch the documentary that profiles the demographics of the United States, be thinking about a)things that surprise you/things that do not surprise you b)any questions that arise as we are watching c)your predictions for our future Fill in questions to the best of your ability as we go along...we will discuss! :)

How are our demographics connected to our nation’s past? How might they be connected to our future? The “new mainstream” is referring to the shift in demographics in the United States.
