5 How does it accumulate? ◍ Devices aren’t recycled properly ◍ Many devices are almost impossible to recycle efficiently ◍ No help from device manufacturers

6 Where does this end up? ◍ Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, India, and China Huge market for used electronics

7 E-waste and Health Risks ◍ Dangerous to take these products apart Dangerous to these countries too ◍ Can contain mercury, cadmium, lead, phosphorus, arsenic, and beryllium ◍ Affects children and adults ◍ Sears, wounds, lung problems, eye and back damage, chronic nausea, anorexia and heavy headaches
