Harrison POND group question : What happens when the pond freezes in winter? January 2010 In January although the ice layer covered the pond, there was always water underneath for the pond wildlife. We made our own ice blocks and studied them floating and melting. “It was great to experiment with our ideas. It was fun to see how your own ideas turned out.“ Caitlin.

We have enjoyed being in POND group It is a fun way to learn about the pond. I like being in a team. We all took turns measuring or dipping. I like talking to other people about what we do. I like it that other people are interested in what we have found out.
