2. Our Marathon is eighteen! When? Every year, since1996, on the first Sunday of March in our town we have an important event: The PLACENTIA MARATHON FOR UNICEF. Let’s run together!!

3. We were at the Presentation! Here are some photos from our exibition at Palazzo Gotico, on February 9th, to celebrate the new Marathon edition and substain Unicef. In fact the aim of Placentia Marathon is to help children in need, all over the world.

4. Waiting for our dances… …and waving our Unicef flags! Piacenza has a special link with Unicef. All the Marathon profits are offered to this organization and our town is called: «Città a sostegno dei bambini» Our school cooperate with Unicef,too!

8. The map of the 18° Placentia Marathon The Full Marathon is 42 km long, but you can choose the Half Marathon (21Km) or the Ultra Half Marathon (30 km). There are not competitive walks, too, of different lenghts.! Our marathon is just for EVERYONE!

9. 3rd March 2013, Sunday: Marathon day. 5,000 PEOPLE take part in the marathon… The town centre is ready for the ARRIVAL !! …running TOGETHER! TOGETHER

10. 3rd March, 9,30: The START The starting point is at the «Polisportivo», near the stadium: READY… STEADY… GO! RUN RUN RUN! RUN RUN RUN!

11. From class 5°B: direct experience ! Alice and Giulia … …partecipate to the Marathon! We are ready for the 5 km walk! It’s a sunny day and we like walking!
