4. Jackson When Jackson got married his wife had already had a husband and thought the divorce was finalized but it wasn’t. So he remarried her to make the marriage legal and Adams used this to attack his opponent saying, “Ought a convicted adulteress and her paramour husband to be placed in the highest offices of this free and Christian land?”
