1 TURN IN SYLLABUS and ALL ABOUT ME!! First 5-10: Please write the following learning target in your Social Studies notebook (be sure to skip a few pages before writing). Next, do the warm-up: Learning Target: I can analyze main ideas and supporting details in order to make sense of rights and freedoms (Common Core Speaking and Listening 2). Warm-up (write underneath the learning target on the same page): How do you define freedom?

2 Setting up your social studies notebooks (notebook check) Name on front Blue tape for social studies on binding P1/2: Green P4: PinkP5/6: Yellow Table of contents (2 pages front and back) Decide Material and cleanliness manager

3 Note-taking For this first week, you can take notes however you wish but you need to take notes of some kind (give example) Procedure for titling something in your notebook

4 Rights and Freedoms Over the next two weeks: looking at rights, note-taking, and summarizing Purpose of content for today: – To define rights and freedoms – To assess listening and note-taking skills (learning target)
