More With Pronouns Keep your emotions out of it! Use outside sources to SUPPORT your points. Keep your passion, but watch your writing.

Rules of Formal Writing Do not use CONTRACTIONS: Can’t = Cannot Won’t = Will Not Don’t = Do Not Couldn’t = Could Not They’re = They are Etc. This will eliminate silly mistakes in using the wrong word.

Rules of Formal Writing Be CONCRETE with your ideas: Avoid Abbreviations TV = Television CT = Connecticut Avoid using words like “things” Do not use these phrases because they are over used and vague

They all have to act the same and stuff. But hey, the main character Jonas rebels against everyone, he’s a cool guy. In my essay I am going to explain this more. I hope you are going to agree with me.
