Time Period African slavery began in North America in 1619. The time period was from 1830 until 1870. 1830 is when it started to make a change in slavery.

Abolitionists Are people who are against slavery. Many people were against it such as preachers like Lyman Beecher, Nathaniel Taylor, and Charles G. It was a sin to them to have people as slaves.

The Affect This affected them because they saw it as a sign of freedom and it gave them hope. It also gave Frederick Douglass hope to rise up and fight for his peoples freedom.
