 Reducing Methane gas  Methane gas comes from the faeces and the burp from cows and other animals  Reducing deforestation for farming  Reducing chlorofluro carbons ( from the chiller to keep the meat )  Reducing nitrous oxide from processing the meats  Reducing CO2 from transportation for transporting the meats  Reducing greenhouse gases  Reducing water vapor from opening the land for farming  Reducing nitrous oxide from the fertilizer for the corn farms  Reducing CO2 from the tractors

 White hat ( Facts ) = What are the facts that we face related with meat industry?  Red hat ( Feelings ) = How will the people feel if the global warming keeps happening and even getting worst?  Yellow hat ( Benefits ) = In what ways we can get the benefits from eating less meat that reducing methane gas?

 Black hat ( Problems ) = What are some problems of eating too much meat?  Green hat ( The solutions ) = How can we solve / counteract the problem of eating too much meat?  Blue hat ( The thinking ) = What are the relationship of eating less meat can reduce global warming?

 The problem is that now many people are eating more meats. I eat meat almost everyday and that is not good. The fact is that some people eat meats everyday that will cause more methane gas in our atmosphere that will stay for 12 years and it is not good for our Earth. 

 About 60 percent of all the methane in the atmosphere is caused by human activities.  Metane is a molecule that is created by bacteria that feed on organic material.  Methane gas stays for 12 years in the atmosphere.  Methane is the second most damaging greenhouse gas produced by human activity after carbon dioxide.  Methane is 25 times more damaging in our atmosphere than carbon dioxide.  Methane gas mostly caused from cattle and sheep.

 The causes of Methane gas is fossil fuels, cattle and sheep, landfills and rice paddies, and forest fires. These are the human main related resources. The nature are oceans, wetlands, gas hydrate deposits in the ocean floor, permafrost, termites, freshwater bodies and non-wetland soil. Then the Methane gas is released to the atmosphere and stay there for 12 years.

 The effects or the impacts of Methane gas to the environment is that Methane gas increased the Earth’s temperature. If the temperature increased the ice in the Polar area will melt that cause rising sea level.  It can also cause the islands and the cities near the coastal area drowned and disappeared. If the ice in the Artic is gone the animals like Polar bears, penguins, sea lions and other animals will die because of losing their habitat and the animals will start to be endangered and extinct.  The other impacts is extreme weathers and natural disasters (storms, tornadoes, typhoon, etc) are getting often and stronger.  It causes massive distructions, drought and flood is getting often too because of less and more rain happening in some area.  The fresh water reservation is getting less.

There are some ways to counteract Methane gas such as:  eating more vegetables  planting trees. The trees can absorb the CO2 and there will be less greenhouse gases in our atmoshphere that keeps our Earth temperature not too high. If it’s high the sea temperature will increased that caused the Methane gas in the sea go out. By doing some of this action we can save our Earth before it’s too late.

 The purpose of I eating less meat or eating more vegetables is that to reduce Methane gas and also counteract Global Warming and save our planet from Methane gas in our atmosphere.

 I will do my action “ eating vegetables “ 2 until 3 times in a week. I will eat vegetables and fruits twice a week to reduce Methane gas. I will eat them every Monday – Friday.  On Saturday I will eat meat from fish to gain enough protein.

What I have done What I have learnt What I feel now What I will do next Today I have eat some vegetables and other food that is not meat I have learnt to eat more vegetables that reduce Methane gas Today I feel healtier because I can eat more vegetables and some fruits and not meat all the time Next I will eat more vegetables same as what I do today but next I will do better than today. My Action Evidences: pictures recording data result parents/adult people comments

Food :  Capjay  Vegetables Soup  Fried Tofu  Carrot & Beansprouts  Egg Beancured Vegetables :  Sawi  Lettuce  Spinach  Beansprouts  Kangkung  Broccoli Others :  Fruits : 1.Avocado 2.Banana  Drinks : 1.Tomato Juice 2.Milk ( Every morning and going home from school )

CARROT & BEANSPROUTSWHEN I EAT THE CARROT AND BEANSPROUTS “ Meat is teastier than vegetables but vegetables is healthier for our body and reducing Methane gas. ”

 My conclusion from eating vegetables is that by choosing this action I can reduce Methane gas from eating meat by eating more vegetables every Monday until Friday.
