4 ESE Program Overview 4  System of supports and services that enables a student with disabilities to access and participate in the educational process  Designed for students with specific disabilities as outlined in federal legislation  Requires identification and verification of a disability in order to access the program  Students have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) developed by teachers, the student, and parents that detail how the student will access general education content and what services and/or supports will be needed in order for this access to take place in the most effective manner Ms. Winterholler, ESE Specialist

5 Speech & Language Services  Services are provided in the following areas:  Articulation- disorders of speech sound production  Voice- disorders of vocal quality/tone and intensity  Fluency- disorders of “stuttering”  Language- Receptive disorders (understanding language) and Expressive disorders (communicating language)  Services are provided in the speech office in a small group setting and are provided according to the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Mr. Israel, Speech Language Pathologist 5

8 P.A.S.S Program  Post-Graduate Alternatives for Secondary Students  Designed for students 18-22 years old  Provides classroom and job site vocational training  Students may remain in the program until aging out—22years old. Mr. Tom Martin, PASS 8

18 Accessing Pinnacle Grade Book The Website Address is http://gradebook.browardschools.com Select Hollywood Hills High School from the list, then log in Username = 10 digit student number@my.browardschools.com Password = Student's birth date with a P at the front (e.g., P01/15/1998 if the birthday is January 15, 1998) Log on to... -Check current grades for all classes -Check attendance for all classes -Get grade by grade reports for each class -Get missing grade reports for each class Ms. Winterholler, ESE Specialist 18
