The original program will not be modified & only the PPR Context/Machining Cell will be duplicated, not the resources, tools, assemblies, geometries, … Messages : Optimize programming time by re-using proven strategies Capitalization of company know-how Template strategy for part families or similar parts Minimize the risk of user errors Double-click on the part to have it available at this stage. You need to have to 2 levels of plates

7 © 2012 - DASSAULT SYSTEMES – All rights reserved DS Confidential Information Can be shared by DS channels with customer/prospect under NDA Demonstration STEP 3 Review NC Program Review the existing program thanks the Tool Path replay, Material removal simulation, … According the audience, you can take time to edit some operations to show the existing strategies, options, parameters, … Messages : Enable creation of machining processes with part to machine, stock, cutters and milling operations to program a simultaneous 3-axis milling machine Simulate & Validate the tool path thanks material removal simulation For V5 customers, all the V5 strategies are already available in DELMIA V6 Machining and new ones are available. V6 surpass V5 in term of functionalities

Then select the new Product ‘Project_02’ Double-click on PPR Context to go back to Machine Programming workbench Mesages : Automatic reconnection to the new geometry Reuse of already certified/proven NC Programs by templates methodology Increase productivity thanks to a higher level of automation The picture with the 2 parts where the differences are colored is just to understand the modification. It cannot be shown interactively during demonstration

9 © 2012 - DASSAULT SYSTEMES – All rights reserved DS Confidential Information Can be shared by DS channels with customer/prospect under NDA Demonstration STEP 5 Update the tool path on new geometry Recompute tool path for both Manufacturing programs Select some operations and replay them (tool path & material removal simulation) to show that it been updated on the new geometry Mesages : Very quickly the tool path is created Minimize the user errors Re-use company know-how & best practices You need to recompute the tool path of the first Manufacturing Program (Roughing), run the Material removal simulation and then to store the viseo result on the last operation (Semi-Finishing) Repeat this process on the second Manufacturing Program (Finishing) but don’t forget to remove the video result already stored on some operations because they are no more up to date !
