2 Types of Propaganda Bandwagon – “everybody’s doing it,” tries to persuade everyone to join in and do the same thing Testimonial - An important person, person with experience or famous figure endorses a product. Name calling / mudslinging – using negative to create an unfavorable opinion of the competition

3 Loaded words – using ‘big’ words to appeal to the reader (magnificent, one time only)
Plain Folks – appeals to ‘regular’ people Snob Appeal – you want the product so people will think you are wealthy Slogan – a company’s catchphrase (Just Do It, I’m Lovin’ It)
