March 2012 Updates: The busy life of a 19 months old toddler: playing, creating and loving it!
2
The big change for Alma this month was the transition from cot to toddler bed. It went very well and very fast, as she was begging to move into the big bed for weeks beforehand. Alma loves to do everything by herself and copies everything Hahgoot does, so this month she was interested in undressing herself... Not always at the right moment, though!
3
Alma LOVES brushing teeth and having her hair done (left). She enthusiastically gets ready with all her gear when we need to go out to the park or to pick up Hahgoot (middle). But still needs a lot of help to fall asleep (right).
4
Alma decided on this hair style... These used to be my hair clips as a child!
5
The major reason Alma found it hard to fall asleep was her constant teething that bothered her endlessly, poor thing.
6
Alma is a fabulous eater!
7
Alma was very interested in peeling her own egg, slicing it and eating it.
8
She helped me make apple, carrot and cinnamon muffins. She was very focused and enthusiastic but got egg, oil and flour EVERYWHERE...
9
She is standing on a cloth as everything was drenched in oil... Alma had a great time and the muffins turned out very good (and the kitchen was thoroughly cleaned when she had a nap...)
10
Following the success of the muffins, Alma helped me make a Bulgarian dish called “Banitsa”, which involves many layers of filo pastry, melted butter and a cheese filling. She did really well and made a lot less mess!
11
Like every busy toddler, Alma loves watering plants. Bottom left: a “house warming” plant from Sarah next to the “Tu Bishvat” plant from Kishkashta.

Let’s have a quick rest and go to the next presentation where Alma gets social out and about!
