Masahiro Konno for the Aerogel groupDC Meeting, Apr/14/04 1 Status of Aerogel Reconstruction –Track association implemented in CGL. –Raw data (ADC, TDC) included in PHCentralTrack. –Need to add some information of the adjacent 8 cells with track- associated cell in nanoDST, in order to take care of particle passing through multiple cells. Calibration –Gain parameters for ADC obtained from LED and real data. –Timing calibration will be done with MinBias nanoDSTs. Construction for Run 5 Aerogel Detector has been installed in PHENIX for Run 4. (North-side Half Sector) Updated

Masahiro Konno for the Aerogel groupDC Meeting, Apr/14/04 4 Preparation of Integration (80 boxes with 160 PMTs) at 510-HighBay Construction of South-side Half Sector All parts, except for additional Aerogel itself, are now at BNL. - Aerogel tiles (~1080 tiles, n=1.0120) at BNL. - Aerogel tiles (~700 tiles, n=1.0112) will be delivered to BNL by mid-May. Construction procedure is reviewed with last year’s experiences. Box Mechanical Assembling has been started in April. It will take ~2 months. - 2-3 grad. students will come to BNL from Tsukuba. - Help of Dubna people (technicians). - Help of technicians (BNL).
