Teaching with Instructional Software To integrate is to make educational technology available to all through inclusion. Software functions include: drill and practice, tutorials, simulation, instructional games and problem solving. Tutorial-provides necessary information for students to master a topic with the use of summaries, explanations etc.

Instructional Software Simulation software-shows how various systems work. Instructional games increases motivation. These can all be done individually or by groups.

Benefits for Teachers Programs for the software provide teachers with instructions/directions for their own development. Software can give specific drill and practice for concepts that students may have difficulty with. Teachers will be free to supervise and help those who really need the help. Teachers wont have to spend a lot time on instructional planning e.g. lesson plans, units etc.

It lessens expense for teachers who usually have to find materials for lessons e.g. animals to dissect Teachers are more flexible in the classroom. With the use of games teachers can help students acquire the prerequisite skills for a particular lesson. Benefits for Teachers

Software will help students develop content skills primarily for mathematic and science. It will improve interest and motivation. It helps students identify relevant information for problem solving instead of jumping to conclusion. It provides the right environment and illustrates how to actually solve the problem.
