3. “Global warming is the observed and projected increases in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans.”

4.  “The gases which allow the incoming solar radiation to reach earth’s surface but absorb the thermal radiation emitted from the earth’s surface are called green house gases and the effect is called green house effect”.

5.  Many people merge the terms global warming and green house effect with each other. 10.  Due to the increase in the atmosphere of greenhouse gas concentrations like  Water vapor.  Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ).  Methane.  Ozone.  Nitrogen oxides.  CFC’s.  Deforestation increases the severity of global warming as well.  Greenhouse gases are those gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect. The largest contributing source of greenhouse gas is the burning of fossil fuels leading to the emission of carbon dioxide.

11.  The oceans are no longer able to store carbon as they have in the past. The ocean is a huge carbon sink, holding about 50 times as much carbon as the atmosphere.
