Notes Select a topic & an audience Create a working thesis / may change Asserts one main idea Usually one maybe two sentences long Proper length for 4 page paper Is often located in first paragraph Do not use “I” or “In my opinion” but the thesis should have one direction or opinion such as “failed” or “successful”
