It has different properties: size, shape, texture, color, odor
What is matter made of?
Atom: smallest particle of an element
Molecule: particle of matter made of 2 or more atoms

4. 3 States of Matter
Definition: 3 forms matter usually takes – solid, liquid, gas
ice = solid
water in a pool = liquid
water vapor = gas
Physical Property: characteristic of matter than can be observed by the senses
Examples: size, shape, color, odor, texture
