Properties to Remember
You can only add two radicals if the radicand is the same. And you only add the coefficients When multiplying radicals: Multiply the coefficients together, and the radicands together. (always simplify) The conjugate of a radical is the opposite sign.

Rationalizing the Denominator
The process of eliminating a radical from an expression’s denominator is called rationalizing the denominator. Example: We do NOT like having a radical in the denominator!!!!
