5.  NAFTA allowed Canadians to take the soft lumber dispute with the United States to court  Clinton administration negotiated a side agreement on environment with Canada and Mexico, the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC), which led to the creation of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) in 1994Commission for Environmental Cooperation

6.  If a product does not qualify for NAFTA, it can still be shipped to Canada or Mexico.
