2. Biography Jesse Owens was born on September 12,1913. He started running for the track team. Jesse Owens set junior and high school record in track. On May 25, 1935, he break the world record. He ran 220 yards dash, 200 yard hurdles, and long jump.

3. Biography Owens won four gold medals in 1936 during the Berlin Olympics. He proved that Black people were important. He died from lung cancer March 31, 1980.
