Nightly Routine Every night your child will bring home their 3 ring binder (notebook). In this binder will be behavior for day/month at a glance, pencil case for money (lunch, snack, field trips..), you will write any notes to me/other school officials inside the notebook and place any homework that is assigned in the front pocket. Please send back every day!

Discipline Policy If you have not read and signed my discipline policy, please do so at this time!

Video & Picture Release Form This is provided to obtain written permission to videotape and or photograph your child.

“Letter Muncher” Through the studies of ABC’s, we ask students to bring in an object that begins with that letter. You may want to assist them in the beginning, and later allow them to make their own choices. Incorrect responses will be discussed and investigated, not shunned.

Bus and Pickups For the first two weeks of school, your child must wear their tags that identify if they are bus riders or pickup.

Morning Routine You may bring your child in the first day to walk him/her through the morning routine. 1 st Job- Check in with Mrs. Lumley 2 nd Job- Find your cubby for book bag 3 rd Job- Make lunch choice 4 th Job- Find seat and begin morning work After the first day, we ask that you drop your child off at the door.

Breakfast If your child wishes to eat breakfast at school, please make sure they do so before checking in with us at 7:30!

Picking up your child Please pick him/her up by 2:45 in the cafeteria. If you need to check your child out, please do so by 2:00.***Early Check outs and tardies may count against attendance*see OCS policy ***Please do not come to the room for afternoon pick-up.

Notes If your child is changing his/her afternoon bus/pickup plans, please send a note the day before or the day of.

Volunteer Policy We absolutely love volunteers! We will not be calling you in until the end of September. This will give our children time to adjust! You can be fingerprinted at the county office on Wednesday mornings. I will need helpers to come work in class or groups, and even volunteers who can do other jobs out of their homes. Please let me know if you are interested!

Lunch You are welcome to join your child for lunch. I once again respectively request that this begins at the end of September, giving us time to adjust. Our lunch time is 11:07-11:32am. Cost of Lunch is Student, full paying $2.00 Student, reduced.40 Milk.50 Breakfast Student, full paying $1.25 Student, reduced.30

Birthday Goodies School policy requires that all food products are store bought, with the ingredient label intact. Please do not be offended by the policy. As an adult Mrs. Park has become deathly allergic to almond (any almond paste, almond extract..) and could quickly place her life in danger. Please notify us of any food allergies!

Snack Please provide a daily snack. PTO is selling popcorn on Fridays for $.50

Was your child absent? If your child was absent, please send in a note. After several days with no note, the school generates a not so pleasant note. This note is NOT from us! To prevent yourself from receiving this note, please send in notes! ***Please note 20 absences may = retention

In case of an “accident” Please send in seasonal appropriate clothes in case there is an uh-oh, there can be dry and clean clothes available!

Afternoon Intent Please sign my transportation sheet. This will inform how your child will be going home each day. Be sure to indicate the bus number if your child will be riding a bus or the name of the day care if they will be picked up by a day care or if you will pick them up.

Early Release Days Please indicate how your child will be going home on the Early Release Days (September 19, October 17, February 20, March 20, and April 17). Please keep in mind that the Boys and Girls Club will not be open on Early Release Days

Donations Donations into the class are greatly accepted. Items that are constantly needed are: Magic Erasers (Mr. Clean) Baby Wipes Clorox and Lysol Wipes (to prevent sicknesses!!!) books Velcro

Conferences We will have at least 2 conferences this school year! Any additional will be scheduled upon need/ request.

Welcome to Our Class!!! This year is going to be a new adventure for you and your child! We will be going on field trips and attending school assemblies. There will be surprises when least expected. This is the joy of being in this Kindergarten class!

Visitors & Volunteers Please sign in at the front office and get a sticker that states if you are a visitor. This is for the safety of your children, this is the school’s way of knowing who is on campus!
