The content of this presentation in confidential RP 926 AND RP 926S FUNCTIONS Both devices implement the function of regeneration of the G.shdsl signal and they are used when: 1.The distance between LTU and NTU is longer than the limit of the standard G.shdsl link length. 2.The S/N ratio falls under the minimum threshold for the G.shdsl signal because of external noise sources (TLC lines that trouble, electrical lines, motors etc.) The RP 926S can be remote powered both locally and through remote power. The RP 926 is completely remote powered and it lets pass the remote power supply coming from exchange.

The content of this presentation in confidential RP 926 – RP 926S The G.shdsl RP 926 regenerator was born as G.shdsl 4 wire repeater on point to point link for the transmission of E1 stream (2048 Kbit/s) and Nx64. Subsequently the applicative software has been up to date to allow it to be use on G.shdsl connections between DSLAM and CPE. The features of the RP 926 – RP 926S regenerators are: Low power consumption (<3W) Small dimensions Reliability Complete management through EOC G.Shdsl channel (ITU-T G.991.2) Flexibility Easy to install.

The content of this presentation in confidential MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS The RP 926 is the stand-alone version and it is made by a printed circuit board which is put in a plastic housing with the following dimensions: 103x153x27 mm. The RP 926S is the rack version of the RP 926 and it has been designed to be inserted into the proper case of the series CN 929. CN 929.2 for street cabinet installation CN 929.5 for pole box installation

The content of this presentation in confidential DESCRIPTION OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE SHDSL REGENERATOR TELECO S.p.A. SHDSL regenerator is made by: One hardware platform which is made by: Shdsl Infineon Chipset PEF24624 SDFE4 Infineon 16 bit CPU DC/DC converter Main firmware program (boot program) that detects firmwares loaded into the flash memory and perform DSL firmware download into Infineon chipset and application specific firmware download into onboard RAM. Application specific firmware that implements the functional tasks of the regenerator and that can be changed in consequence of the customer request or link characteristics. DSL module that contains the Infineon chipset.
