Assessment Overview In groups of two or more, students will be able to explore improvisation skills with teacher guidance and apply improvisation skills in response to stimuli to produce a piece of improvisation of at least 3 minutes

Achievement Criteria element 1 Explore improvisation skills with teacher guidance. performance criteria 1.1Exploration identifies improvisation characteristics. Students can identify the elements of effective improvisation including use of offers, acceptance and extension. 1.2Exploration demonstrates spontaneity. Student demonstrates use of imagination, concentration, offering and accepting vocally and physically. 1.3Exploration demonstrates narrative skills. –Student can create a cohesive narrative in improvisation. - advancing, extending, storytelling. 1.4Exploration demonstrates sensitivity to others in the group.
