2 EARLY MAN Paleolithic Era- the earliest period of the Stone Age Migrate-to move from on place to another Consequences-a result of an action

3 FARMERS AND CITY DWELLERS Droughts-a long period of time with little or no rain Domesticate-to train animals or plants for human use Slash-and-burn-farming-a system of farming in which thick forest lands are cut and burned to prepare the soil for planting Surplus-an extra supply

4 MESOPOTAMIA Tributes-a required payment from one ruler to a more powerful ruler Silt- soil and tiny rocks carried or deposited on the land by floodwaters Caravans-a group of traders traveling together on a long journey Architectures-a style of building
