Ante-natal period Provision of appropriate and adequate foods Provision of financial and physical support Decide with wife/partner appropriate feeding option for the coming baby Accompany partner to ante-natal clinics

During labour/delivery Be present to support partner physically and emotionally Inform health workers: midwife/TBA about chosen feeding option for the baby Ensure the wishes of partner is respected by the midwife/doctor/TBA

Post-Natal Period Inform in-laws about chosen feeding option Protect mother against harmful traditional and other practices adverse to breastfeeding Build mothers confidence Give practical help
