Key terms Art Deco A style of decorative art and architecture originating in the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by bold geometric forms and simple composition. Expressionist Architecture Expressionist architecture was an architectural movement that developed in Europe during the first decades of the 20th century in parallel with the expressionist visual and performing arts. Streamline Moderne Streamline Moderne, sometimes referred to by either name alone or as Art Moderne, was a late type of the Art Deco design style which emerged during the 1930s.
