5 Lasagne Lasagne Bolognese is a typical dish of Emilia Romagna, Bologna. Ingredients: meat (beef and pork) tomato sauce, pasta and bèchamel sauce..

6 Spaghetti al pomodoro Ingredients: spaghetti, tomatoes, garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Cook the pasta in salted water. Wash the tomatoes, cut them out and put them in a pan with oil, garlic and salt. After pouring the basil leaves into the sauce and mix them well together. Drain the pasta and pour it into the pan containing the sauce. And, finally, put the pasta in the pot still hot.

7 Spaghetti alla carbonara Pasta alla carbonara is a typical dish in Lazio and more particularly in Rome. Ingredients: Spaghetti, bacon, cheese, egg yolk and plenty of black pepper.

8 Penne alla boscaiola A type of pasta with mushrooms and sausage.

9 Ravioli Made with fresh pasta stuffed with ricotta and spinach.

10 Zuppa di cavolo Bread with vegetable broth and vegetables.

11 Pappa al pomodoro Bread cut into small pieces, with tomato sauce.

12 Polenta Made with corn flour and served with various sauces.

16 Tagliata Beef meat cooked over charcoal and undercooked inside.

17 Bistecca alla fiorentina Similar to the cutlet, but with bone.

18 Cinghiale in umido Wild boar meat cut into pieces cooked in tomato sauce and olives.

21 Dolce della nonna Cake with custard, decorated with pine nuts.

22 Cantuccini con vin santo Typical Christmas cake. Traditionally, the cookies are dipped into liquor.

23 Castagnaccio Cake made with chestnut flour and stuffed with pine nuts, walnuts and dried fruit.

24 Ricciarelli Christmas cookies, made of almond paste.

25 Pandoro Pandoro (pan d'oro) is a traditional Italian sweet yeast bread popular around Christmas and New Year. Typically a Veronese product, It is often served dusted with vanilla scented icing sugar made to resemble the snowy peaks of the Italian Alps during Christmas. Cream or gelato can be served as a garnish to pandoro slices.

26 Panettone Panettone is a type of sweet bread loaf originally from Milan. It is usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas and New Year in Italy and in other countries.

27 Bomboloni A great snack! Best eaten hot, filled with custard, chocolate or cream.

28 Tiramisù Tiramisu (“pick me up" or "lift me up"). It is made of ladyfingers (Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with Marsala wine and cocoa.
