1. English 9A Bellwork Week Five

2. Thursday- Pop Quiz! You may use last week’s notes, as well as previous bellwork, on today’s quiz.

3. Today’s Targets  Students will review for the first summative assessment this unit (unit test) that will take place Wednesday.  Students should be able to identify important elements of plot and characterization, as well as themes, symbols, motifs, etc. from the novel “Speak”.

4. Friday- Pop Quiz Chat Instead of Bellwork, we are going to go over the pop quiz from yesterday. If you did not take this, please see Ms. Dodge right away.

5. Today’s Targets  Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions prior to taking the first summative unit assessment (unit test).  Students will also be given the opportunity to ask questions for clarification concerning the second summative unit assessment (unit essay).

6. Narrative revisions  Can revise your personal narrative if you scored below 80%  Must turn in revised essay by Monday, Jan. 20  Final narrative grade will be the average of the two grades (new and old)  Must turn in everything that was returned to you. All previous drafts, etc.
